Monday night’s New Moon in Aries will launch us into dynamic new beginnings, but not before forcing us all to take a cold, hard look at our shortcomings and past mistakes. Since the time of the Spring Equinox on Monday, many of us have been experiencing what I like to call “Equinox Fever,” which is characterized by a strong inclination to launch ourselves headfirst into new relationships, projects and plans driven by the influx of Aries energy in the skies. The problem is, with the Spring Equinox landing on a waning third-quarter square of the moon, some of our efforts toward forward momentum have likely been premature. The potent, fiery energy of the New Moon in Aries may give us the boost we’re looking for, but not without a few obstacles along the way.
With this new moon in close conjunction with retrograde Venus in Aries, relationship power dynamics are up for review. This doesn’t only apply to romantic partnerships— all close relationships are coming under scrutiny under the influence of this Venus retrograde and the New Moon in Aries highlights the areas in need of revision. With Venus “combust” in conjunction with the Sun just two days prior to this New Moon, now is a time of renewal when the energy of Venus is being cleansed and purified. This lunation marks an excellent time to purge and let go of that which no longer serves us in our relationships so that we may all move forward with greater freedom and clarity.
Whether it’s relationship problems, financial woes, issues of self worth, or a combination of all three, we’re deep into the Venus retrograde this week and the issues requiring our attention should be pretty apparent at this point in the cycle. Monday night’s New Moon will be giving us a long-awaited opportunity to hit the reset button, giving us a fresh start and a new perspective on issues that have only recently come to our attention but have likely been plaguing us for years.
While this New Moon in Aries is a potent portal providing us fertile ground for springtime renewal, it is worth noting that throughout the month of April there will be five planets in retrograde, four of which will be stationing at some point during this lunar month. Don’t be afraid to get some momentum going, but be aware that whatever is initiated at this time will likely require some revision moving forward. Flexibility and adaptability is key with any new plans or intentions set into motion at this time.
Sending you all my love on this powerful New Moon! Feel free to reach out with questions, and thank you all so much for your continued love and support! :)
