The Full Moon in Libra comes exact on Saturday, marking the culmination point of the lunar cycle that began with the New Moon in Pisces only two weeks ago. This particular Full Moon is a challenging one, forming a T-square with the two malefic planets— Mars and Saturn, indicating the potential for frustrations and difficulties that may prevent us from coming back to a point of balance and equilibrium.
Friday (3/30): The Moon moves into the harmonious sign of Libra early this morning, ushering us into the energy of tomorrow’s rather challenging Full Moon. The Full Moon in Libra is typically all about coming back into balance through relationship, however; this particular Full Moon is a bit more complicated than that!
Venus moves into it’s home sign of Taurus late in the evening today, which brings a much more grounded, sensual, and down-to-earth approach to relationships, pleasure, and financial dealings. Venus in Taurus is all about the sensory experience— the way things taste, feel, look, sound and smell. People are more inclined to indulge in delicious comfort foods and other sensory pleasures throughout this time. In terms of finances, Venus in Taurus encourages spending on luxury items made with high-quality craftsmanship that will stand the test of time and discourages spending on items that are considered cheap or frivolous. This energy is excellent for a spa day with your partner or indulging in a warm and sensual, candlelit bath.
Saturday (3/31): Today’s Full Moon in Libra is a bit of a challenging one, forming a T-square with the impending Saturn/Mars conjunction (exact on Monday) at the apex. While the Full Moon in the harmonious sign of Libra brings a desire to come back into balance through integrating the needs and options of others, Mars and Saturn forming a conjunction and squaring the Full Moon indicates an impulse to move forward with plans that will only be met with frustration, blockages or lack of energy and enthusiasm to get the job done. With retrograde Mercury conjunct the Sun in Aries, our minds may be moving on overdrive with all sorts of plans and ideas that we can’t quite seem to put into action just yet. The opposition to the Moon in Libra indicates the need to create balance by integrating our emotions and intuition back into the equation, which may serve as a guide post when it comes to decision-making and dealing with blockages and issues with timing that the Mars/Saturn conjunction may bring. The energy of this Full Moon may leave some of us feeling irritated or frustrated with the burdens and responsibilities that are preventing forward momentum, while others may feel energetically depleted, mentally exhausted, and emotionally depressed. On either end of the spectrum, the best use of this energy is to make small, sustained efforts toward laying a solid foundation to move forward with important plans, either reining in impulsive, frustrated energies and practicing patience, or doing whatever is possible with the little energy available to get things moving again. If you’re feeling burdened and bogged down by too much responsibility, now is also a good time to take stock of where you are and release responsibilities and structures that no longer serve a purpose. Doing so favors the creation of new structures that are more appropriate for where you’re at right now. Using feelings and intuition as guidance, and making sure to account for the needs of those we care about most (rather than acting solely to promote our own self-interest), it is possible to work diligently and patiently to a create a better, more appropriate framework for important projects moving forward.
FULL MOON in LIBRA and Weekly Forecast for ALL 12 SIGNS!
Sunday (4/1): Happy April Fools Day! Today the Moon goes Void-of-Course at 11:29am MST after making challenging aspects to both Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus. This indicates the potential for intense emotional experience and disruption throughout the first half of the day. The Moon moves into Scorpios at 3:57pm MST, where it will remain for the next 2.5 days. The sign of Scorpio is opposite Taurus (the moon’s “exhaltation”) and because of this, the moon is considered to be at its “fall” in this sign. This means that there is a difficult relationship between the energy of the moon and its potential for expression in Scorpio. Emotions can become quite volatile under the Scorpio moon. Scorpio is the sign of intensity, passion, solitude and deeply transformative emotional expression. Now is a time when deeply held emotional wounds can easily resurface for healing, all the while the urge to repress our emotions can become our downfall. In the fixed sign of Scorpio, emotions are often hidden and left to simmer and boil below the surface until they can no longer be contained. Once they explode up onto the surface they can feel like a flash flood destroying everything in its path. Caution should be exercised at this time when expressing one’s true feelings as hurts and losses experienced during the Scorpio moon can have a deep and lasting effect on the psyche. Now is an excellent time for therapy or counseling, or a more solitary means of expression such as journaling. The key is to find a healthy means of emotional expression, especially in regards to emotionally charged issues and experiences.
Today the Sun comes into conjunction with retrograde Mercury, highlighting projects that require additional attention in order to wrap things up while shedding light on the need to re-think some of our long-standing plans. Mercury’s energy is already quite strong in the skies right now, putting our minds in a jumble as our brains may be on overdrive throughout this time. The Sun in conjunction to Mercury amplifies and highlights this even further, causing us to re-think and overthink even the smallest decisions we make today. This transit can make us more prone to anxiety and nervous tension, and with Mercury in retrograde the remedy to this is to turn our attention inward. Too much rushing around or chitter chatter with friends and coworkers can leave us feeling overwhelmed and confused. If you feel the need to disconnect, follow your instincts, even if just for a few moments, as introspection can lead to much greater clarity.
Have a beautiful weekend! Be sure to check back on Sunday for the weekday forecast! :)
