This weekend is relatively calm as we head into the dark phase of the Moon in preparation for next week’s inquisitive and playful New Moon in Gemini. Now is an excellent time to surrender plans from the previous lunar cycle that didn’t serve us in order to make room for new beginnings.
Friday (6/8): No major planetary aspects. The Moon in the fiery and willful sign of Aries comes into a harmonious aspect with Mars early this morning—allowing many of us to start the day with a burst of energy and heightened sense of enthusiasm! This aspect is quickly followed by a square to Saturn, highlighting the need to put in the diligent hard-work required to finish any important projects we have leftover before the weekend.
Saturday (6/9): No major planetary aspects. Today we enter the balsamic phase of the Moon, a time of winding down and turning inward. The Moon makes a square to Pluto early this morning, heightening psychic awareness and sharpening our intuitive senses, all the while making some of us feel more suspicious of others and increasing our sensitivity to betrayal. The Moon makes a supportive sextile to Mercury later in the morning, making this an excellent time to communicate important information or get something off of your chest. The Moon will make a square to Venus, indicating the potential for broken promises or disagreements, before going Void-of-Course in Aries at 12:37pm MST. At 9:04pm MST, the Moon becomes exalted in the grounded and sensual sign of Taurus, where it will remain for the next 2.5 days. The Moon will briefly highlight the changes yet to be made in the Uranus-in-Taurus sector of our lives and charts before the end of the day.
Sunday (6/10): No major planetary aspects. The Moon in Taurus comes into a harmonious, earth trine with Saturn in Capricorn, bringing balance and a practical perspective to our subjective, emotional inner world. The Moon will make a square to Mars, getting us fired up to take new action before making an opposition to Jupiter. While this is not a good time to launch head-first into something new, it is an excellent time to make plans for the new lunar cycle so long as those plans remain grounded and realistic.
Have a beautiful weekend! Be sure to check back on Sunday for the weekday forecast! :)
