This week is relatively calm in the way of planetary action as we wind down from last week’s lunar eclipse and prepare for the partial Solar Eclipse in Aquarius, which will bring a powerful reset for us all at the middle of next week. Pay attention to what comes up this week, as the eclipse energy is still holding strong. The space between eclipses is always a strange, somewhat eerie energy when the events that unfold can feel profound, fated and often come about in a way that is quite synchronous!
Monday (2/5): No major planetary aspects. The Moon will go Void-of-Course in Libra from 11:46am until 8:56pm when it moves into the intense and passionate sign of Scorpio. The moon is considered Void of Course (VOC) during the time between the moon’s last major aspect with another planet in its current sign and the moment it moves into the next sign.
Because now is a time when the moon remains un-aspected, our inner world may become much more calm, quiet and clear. The VOC moon is a time when our intuition can become heightened as it is free from outside planetary influences; however, too much mental or physical activity at this time can distort our psychic senses and cause us to take wrong action. This is why when we take action or begin a new project during the VOC moon, things often don't pan out. Likewise, any thoughts we may have or worries we may hold on to are also unlikely to come to fruition and are merely serving as a distraction from the inner quiet brought on by the void. While the VOC moon is a fertile time for receiving insight and inspiration, now is not the time to act. In just a few hours, the moon will change signs, which will allow us to begin bringing to fruition whatever was seeded during this highly intuitive time of calm and contemplation.
Tuesday (2/6): Venus in Aquarius makes a supportive sextile with Uranus in Aries today, supporting decisive action and beneficial change in relationships. This energy may bring powerful new insights into old problems in our close personal relationships as well as unique approaches to financial dealings. This is an excellent energy to take on innovative and exciting projects with a partner, business or otherwise, or to spice up a stagnant romance. While this energy does not necessarily enhance emotional connection, it does support unique, off-the-beaten path collaboration between individuals and groups.
The Moon is in Scorpio throughout the day making supportive aspects over to both Saturn and Jupiter, with a challenging square to the planet ruling communication and intellect sandwiched in between. The morning starts off ripe for intense mental focus, supporting diligent hard work toward our long-term goals. Mid-day there may be a disconnect between our emotions and passions and the way we communicate such things. Rigid, dogmatic mindsets may hinder progress and intuitive connection at this time. Luckily, we end the day with a flowy, harmonious trine between the Moon and Neptune, allowing us a chance to disconnect and find healthy reprieve in spirituality, fantasy, and creativity. This is a good evening for journaling and meditation or simply curling up with a good book or a sci-fi or fantasy film.
Wednesday (2/7): No major planetary aspects. Today marks the last-quarter square of the Moon in Scorpio, representing a crisis of wrapping things up and putting the final touches on projects as we move into the last phase of this lunar cycle.
This morning is marked by a regenerative and subtly transformative aspect between the Moon and Pluto, allowing us to dig a bit deeper and heal our emotions from the inside out. The Moon will also make a conjunction with Jupiter, enhancing our insight and optimism, before making it’s last aspect of the day and going Void-of-Course at 12:16am MST. The last aspect the Moon makes is a square to Venus, indicating that activities initiated or carried out over the past 2.5 days may result in a strain on important relationships or financial matters.
Thursday (2/8): No major planetary aspects. The Moon moves into Sagittarius at 6:53am MST, and makes a conjunction with fiery, willful Mars late tonight, making this an active and exciting day!
The moon in Sagittarius feels optimistic and expansive. There is an enhanced ability to view the world through the lens of positive emotion. People may feel more adventurous, independent-minded and sociable. One may find greater meaning behind everyday experiences. People may find themselves contemplating deeply held values and beliefs as they relate to one’s emotional understanding of the world around them. This is an optimal time to initiate travel plans or to enjoy risky, adrenaline fueled activities, such as mountain climbing or skydiving, which provide the opportunity to experience the expansiveness of the natural world in a way that is both sensational and exhilarating.
