The energy at play this weekend feels a bit lackadaisical and overindulgent, to say the least. With the Sun in square with Jupiter, a planet known for it’s extravagance, and Venus moving into the escapist sign of Pisces on Saturday, this may not be the most productive of weekends. Luckily, we have the Moon in Capricorn closing out the weekend to whip us back into shape before the workweek begins. ;)

Friday (2/9): No major planetary aspects today. The Moon is transiting the mutable sign of Sagittarius today, coming into a square with foggy and confusing Neptune early this morning. If you’re struggling with a lack of clarity early in the day, this morning may be a good time to take a break, and spend some time daydreaming or in meditation. By early this afternoon our minds come back online as the Moon makes a supportive sextile with Mercury in the innovative and enigmatic sign of Aquarius, allowing us easier access to the solutions we seek.
Saturday (2/10): Venus leaves the friendly, yet emotionally detached sign of Aquarius this afternoon and begins its transit through the dreamy and romantic sign of Pisces. Venus in Pisces deepens our connection with the ones we truly love, as well as those who aren’t quite so lovable. While this transit can feel quite nice, giving our relationships an almost magical energy, it can also make us more prone to putting on the rose-colored-glasses when it comes to our most important partnerships. Throughout these next few weeks, it can be difficult to discern between reality and fantasy when it comes to romance and financial dealings. This transit can feel quite lovely, so enjoy it while it lasts, because after this transit is finished things will become much more real. ;)
The Sun in Aquarius comes into a challenging square with Jupiter in Scorpio today. This energy is ripe for over-doing things or expecting more from our worldly endeavors than what is realistic. Under this influence, it is important not to over-indulge, and in the signs of Aquarius and Scorpio the over-indulgence may be related to ideas or passionate pursuits more so than food or luxury spending. Be careful not to make promises you can’t keep today, and also remain aware that promises made to you are just as likely to broken as people may have a difficult time saying “no” to the requests of others.
The Moon in Sagittarius goes Void-of-Course from 9:38am until 7:21pm MST when it moves into the pragmatic sign of Capricorn. This indicates that throughout most of the day it is not advisable to initiate important projects. When the Moon is VOC, projects and plans often fizzle out, making this a better time for introspection and routine tasks.
The Moon will make a supportive sextile with Venus shortly after moving into Capricorn, making this a wonderful evening to work in partnership with others.
Sunday (2/11): No major planetary aspects. The Moon continues it’s transit through the sign of Capricorn throughout the day. Capricorn is opposite Cancer (the moon’s “home”) and because of this, the moon is considered to be at its “detriment” in this sign. The world can feel a bit cold and closed off under the Capricorn moon. A greater emphasis is placed on duty and responsibility over nurturing and self-care. A sense of order and structure is provided, directing the emotional fluidity of the moon in a way that is more careful and calculated. There is a time and a place for feelings and emotions, and the Capricorn moon makes that very clear. Intuition is replaced with a more calculated and grounded approach to interpreting our experiences during this time. This is an ideal time to take responsibility for oneself and get back to work.
The Moon will come into conjunction with Saturn early this morning, giving the start to the day a somewhat sobering, heavy vibe. Luckily, we end the day with a supportive sextile over to Neptune in Pisces, enhancing visions, dreams, fantasy, compassion and making this a wonderful evening for spiritual or creative pursuits.
Have a beautiful weekend everyone! Be sure to check back on Sunday for the weekday forecast! :)
