Zechariah knew he was missing out on deeper insights for his clients. He’d picked up a few medical astrology “breadcrumbs” of information from various sources, but he didn’t feel confident enough to give the kind of holistic, wellness-focused readings he wanted to offer.
“I didn’t have any knowledge of medical astrology,” Zechariah shared. “I picked up a few tiny tidbits from the foundations of the Cosmic Academy [of Astrology]… But that was like following breadcrumbs."
Something kept nagging at him. He knew that learning medical astrology was the missing piece in his practice, but it felt like such an uphill battle.
“I wasn’t sure if I wanted to drop another chunk of change into the Medical Astrology Foundations course, but honestly, it’s what I was really interested in.”
Zechariah, like many other astrologers, struggled with finding quality resources on medical astrology. Most of what he found was scattered and hard to piece together, leaving him feeling overwhelmed. The more he tried to learn on his own, the more frustrated he became.
“People aren’t teaching this stuff,” Zechariah explained. “There are so many things to consider, and so many ways that things can play out and interact… It was a great experience to finally learn medical astrology in a structured way.”

“I use a lot of the knowledge when I’m doing any kind of magic,” he shared. “If I’m looking to make an offering to one of the planets, I look at the herbs, the essential oils, the color…
I try to pay attention to the Moon because I have a Grand Trine in my chart that gets pinged in the fire signs. I might make an effort to drink more water to calm the fire. Or eat some earthy foods… Just a little something to calm the fire down. Or, I will do some extra exercise.”

I had very little knowledge of medical astrology prior [to] enrolling in the Medical Astrology Foundations Course. I only knew very basic information, such as Capricorn being associated with bones and teeth. I have had several serious health issues over the years, and I thought learning more about the medical side of astrology could help me. As an astrologer, I have been doing astrology readings for a few years, and I have had a few clients ask me if I did medical astrology readings. I wanted to add to my repertoire and offer medical astrology as a specialty.
I had no hesitations other than whether I could pay for it. It was a stretch for me financially, but I didn't want to wait until it was offered again, not knowing what my life would look like. I knew I had as much time as I ever would right now. Otherwise, I had no reservations. I knew Heather was an excellent teacher, and I felt confident with her background in astrology and other healing arts modalities. I also greatly appreciated the fact that she had gone through a healing journey personally. I had — and have — been on my own healing journey, so I know that when it happens to you, you learn differently and you share information differently.
This is one of the best astrology courses I have ever taken. “Professor” Heather has a PhD in my book! I would consider this course to be Master['s] Degree level in its content, depth and delivery. The lectures were all very thorough and in-depth. I felt like nothing was missing from them. The course was also very well organized and structured. I really loved the inclusion of vitamins, minerals, herbs and Bach flower remedies associated with the planets. These were really cool, and actually offer something tangible that may help.
I feel that I am able to view a chart now from a new perspective. I know where to find the information that might be associated with a disease or health issue, and I know how to look for those things in the chart. I have the skills to assess and interpret based on a certain concern, and offer suggestions for improvement — both based on astrology, such as balancing out an element, or a 3-D tangible suggestion such as a Bach remedy to help with over-giving.
I was very pleased with my reading that I gave as part of my completion packet. [My client] had just been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in late October and is very motivated to reverse it. I was able to offer her information that helped her, and learned she was already taking a mineral recommended in the course for helping with blood sugar issues — which was a great synchronicity!

I first learned medical astrology in 2006 as part of my Colorpuncture certification training. [That training] was not based on whole signs or Hellenistic astrology. Also, it did not use the full complement of information presented in this course, like aspects, or ascendant. It also did not use astrology charts, so there is a big difference in the content. This training is different, as it is whole sign based, which I have learned over the years is more reliable.
In 2020 I had to close my acupuncture practice and start teaching online versus in person. Since I can no longer do a tongue and pulse diagnosis, I wanted to find something that allowed me to assess people quickly using my current skills, in a way that allowed for working at a distance. I had recently found Hellenistic astrology based on whole signs and it changed my life. I [was] taking a 3-year program when I came across this program — which is exactly what I was looking for.
My only hesitation was finding the time to do the program. It is not just a matter of listening to a few lectures; one must also integrate the information and actually study to be well grounded in the material. [What made it work was that it was] self-paced. When I had too much going on I could skip that week and catch up the following week. I could study when I was available. It was also very thorough in its content. Studying similar topics from two sources helped to integrate the knowledge.
I better understand the depth of the body parts affected by the house, sign, and planets, versus the typical high-level understanding of most astrologers. I also appreciated the book references — some I have added to my library and find them excellent for learning from and referring to.
I have been doing readings for some time, but the readings are now on a higher level and more sophisticated. I am also able to now have a process to use for analysis, and make a variety of suggestions for people to consider. The few readings I have done so far for other people, I get feedback like, “Wow, that just gave me goose bumps.” It has been very rewarding.

[My prior knowledge of medical astrology was] very little. [My hesitation was the] time commitment and flexibility with course work, since I work full time and am a single parent.
I attended the free preview class and was interested. Heather is a great instructor who is well spoken and organized with her content, so I was drawn to learn more. In life, I had just finished my Reiki Master and thought this would be a great addition to my spiritual development, and perhaps understand areas of focus during a Reiki session. But also, it was my 9th house profection year. All seems fitting.

Prior to enrolling in Medical Astrology Foundations my medical astrology knowledge was minimal — as in, barely past the concept that each zodiac sign ruled certain parts of the body.
My main hesitations about enrolling... were 1) the major sidetrack it would take me on away from the CAA, and 2) not knowing whether getting through Level 1 of the CAA would be sufficient to help me navigate [the Medical Astrology Foundations course].
However, I was reassured that there would still likely be plenty of time to complete both courses, since the CAA can be completed in two years, whereas the Medical Astrology Foundations course was only going to be several months. Also, it turns out that Level 1 is more than sufficient to grasp the material covered in Medical Astrology Foundations!
What I love most about [the course] is how much more clearly I can associate what someone is saying to what their chart is presenting. In real time, as someone is talking, I can now assess and identify the more general and obvious associations and activations that apply to what someone is sharing with me. It's amazing to me how the reading adjusts as the client continues to provide additional input after hearing my next interpretation or suggestion, which only seems to further hone the overall quality of the reading for the reasons he or she wanted it.
In terms of knowledge, I now feel like I can navigate someone's chart with the proper language around what associations are present. The confidence gained from the practice work made it so I could grow the capacity to identify important activations and provide adequate — and even detailed — interpretations for the varying expressions that can arise from the same placements and activations! Now I share little snippets with close connections and private clients if they bring up a question during a conversation; and if it carries on for longer than I feel like talking, then I just tell them to set up an appointment!

This was my first medical astrology course and I was excited to learn. No hesitations — [I] was excited to see the offering come out!
I have a lot of health problems that are ongoing myself, and aside from when I had to pause my studies for a bit due to my health and a family health issue, it was really nice to have this course to help me better understand what I was going through.

I had no level of medical astrology knowledge before enrolling in the Medical Astrology Foundations Course. The hesitation I had was wondering how astrology could be used to observe health conditions, and whether it would be possible.

It helps to point out the transit “tensions” in a healing process, to give an estimated timeline [and] flow of the healing journey. For example, a client was feeling stuck for a while, but Saturn is currently transiting her 6th house and we were able to talk about the meaning of that. For another client, we were able to talk about a recent back pain and how that plays out in her chart. I'm also definitely understanding my own health journey better — the past, present, and future.

Before taking the Medical Astrology Foundations Course, I had a basic understanding of the medical issues that come up in a natal reading. For example, I knew how to interpret the 6th house and its ruler for general health information.
I was worried that it wouldn't be useful, since I'm not a licensed health care provider. But, I'm a professional astrologer and writer. I wanted to deepen my knowledge and add to the services I provide to my clients.
