February 2022 Astro-Highlights: We Have Reached The Turning Point!
Jan 31, 2022The month of February has a palpable energy about it, like a buzz from a fallen electrical wire. There was a quickening that occurred with the Aquarius New Moon on January 31st.. This New Moon acted as a trigger, like a lightning strike against a mountain that sent an unstoppable avalanche our way!
Fairly soon after the month begins, ready or not, many of us will feel as if we have entered a new paradigm with tangible movement and momentum happening all around! All the things we have been attempting to create or build at a frustrating snail’s pace throughout 2021,and all the things we have fighting for and feeling our heads bang against a wall, those things are ready to begin gaining traction now as ALL PLANETS ARE DIRECT in February!
This month brings but one lunation, an extremely passionate and life-changing Full Moon in Leo. The Full Moon in Leo squares the nodal axis which for many of us will feel like a major karmic crossroads, one where multiple potential life paths are laid very clearly before us and we must choose one. Which path will YOU choose? And with Mars and Venus conjunct at this Moon, we must also consider WHO is going with us!

This Mercury retrograde has been a seriously DEEP DIVE! This particular Mercury retrograde has been in combination with a very intense Venus retrograde in Capricorn. In fact, Mercury is stationing direct and activating the very same area of the chart that Venus stationed retrograde back in December! Whether partnered or single, we have all been re-examining our relationships and thinking about the things we need, want and desire in order to move forward into a long lasting relationship! Mercury is now ready to proceed with the information and knowledge that was revealed to us over the last 3 weeks in retrograde. Important conversations are on the horizon now!
Sun Conjunct Saturn in Aquarius

This is a fairly brief transit but it can feel a little heavy. Saturn is still in the frustrating square with Uranus and at this point, we're all officially tired of the setbacks and hoops to jump through in order to get to the goals and freedoms we have been working toward. We may notice in the days leading up to this conjunction a feeling of sluggishness or exhaustion, as though our load is too heavy and that we are never getting over the hurdles and frustrations we have been facing. This is not the time to give up, in fact, this is the time to give all you've got. Hang in there because the Sun moves on from this conjunction quickly and begins a fresh new cycle with Saturn in which it releases the blockages and illuminates a brand new path forward.
Mercury Conjunct Pluto in Capricorn

Mercury is newly direct and we are instantly put to the test as Mercury makes and exact conjunction with Pluto, which always brings deep, uncomfortable truths to the surface! This third conjunction will likely bring about another opportunity for an intense conversation or communication to be had with someone that is difficult and uncomfortable. This could be a period of deep revelation that finally allows us to break ties with someone or something that is toxic to our wellbeing and should not be part of our lives moving forward.
Mercury Re-enters Aquarius

Mercury enters Aquarius for a second time this year, but this time he comes armed with with the wisdom and practicality gained through the retrograde period in Capricorn. Mercury in Aquarius is a time of genius insight and out-of-the-box thinking. Perhaps when Mercury entered Aquarius for the first time back in early January you had a brilliant idea come to you, but one that left you puzzled with regard to how you can bring that idea down from the ethers. Mercury's prolonged conjunction to Pluto showed you there were truths about this you needed to understand first and now that you do, you are ready to proceed. There are still challenges that lie ahead with regard to this, but now you are prepared to see them through.
Mars Conjunct Venus

Mars catches up to Venus today in the sign of Capricorn and they begin a beautiful, prolonged conjunction that will last for a MONTH! The conjunction of Venus and Mars is not rare, happening every year, but THIS particular conjunction IS rare because of how long these two planets will remain so close together! Mars and Venus uniting is always a time of renewed passion that initiates a new beginning in love and relationships. With this happening in the mature sign of Capricorn, these two lovers have learned hard lessons over the last year and are now ready to go the distance, creating a foundation for partnership that will last long into the future.

The Leo Full Moon also makes a challenging square to the nodal axis that has now shifted into Taurus and Scorpio, activating eclipse points. This will likely present a critical time, especially in our relationships. We could see great endings around this moon as well as great beginnings.

Mercury square Uranus is highly electric, mental energy that brings about a challenge, yet heightens our ability to problem solve. This time around it is a familiar challenge.
