We've all got something in our lives—an experience or situation where we feel awkward, shameful, or that we simply don't belong. If you take a look at your birth chart, you'll likely see Chiron there.

In astrology, Chiron represents an innate wound or trauma that is often difficult to overcome. Some Chiron placements are a little easier to decode, such as Chiron in the 7th House, which indicates someone has trauma around marriage that can make it difficult to commit. However some Chiron placements are a little less obvious, such as Chiron in the 12th, which can leave someone feeling odd, lonely, or forgotten, but for reasons that are unclear. That's because the 12th House is more hidden and subconscious.

Wherever Chiron is placed in the birth chart is an area where we have learned through suffering, and although we may struggle to heal ourselves, we have a unique ability to help others heal similar types of wounds.

Astrology is a brilliant tool to use on a healing journey because, often, it helps us pinpoint things we may otherwise struggle to articulate or understand. Being able to see where Chiron is placed, for example, we can see very literally what is wounded and what area of life it affects, which opens us up avenues of healing and new levels of self-acceptance and peace because we can finally pin it down.
