November Astro-Highlights: Eclipse Season is HERE!

This month will a LIFE-CHANGING time in the astrology for many people. The ongoing Saturn-Uranus square is being activated rather intensely by an onslaught of Scorpio transits at the start of this month bringing about individual and social unrest. We’re coming into the final exact activation of this lengthy influence soon, and the pressure is on. Any cracks in the foundations of our lives that haven’t been addressed will be becoming big, gaping holes requiring our attention. Even in the areas that have been worked on extensively, final adjustments will need to be made.

November also enters us into ECLIPSE SEASON—and this next Lunar Eclipse is the very first on in an ongoing, 18 month series of eclipses in the signs of Taurus and Scorpio. While technically not fully occurring in the sign of Taurus (the nodes are, after all, still transiting Gemini & Sagittarius) the upcoming Full Moon and Partial Lunar Eclipse this month will give us an undeniable preview of the direction things will be headed into over the next year-and-a-half.

This particular eclipse cycle begins to activate the upcoming conjunction and eclipse activation of the North Node conjunct Uranus in Taurus—one of the main attractions in the Summer of 2022. We’ve already been experiencing many Uranus-in-Taurus energies these past few years—disruptions to the supply chain involving food and raw materials, cyber attacks on the food supply, pockets of electricity and communication black-outs, an upsurge in new medical technologies (for better and for worse) and so. much. more.

This New Moon in Scorpio is a POWERFUL reminder to us all that ignoring an irritating or downright oppressive situation typically doesn’t cause it to just magically go away. When we feel that internal call for change, that ball of frustration brewing over our current circumstances—action must be taken.

There’s something in all of our lives that’s been weighing on us this year—the desire to move, shift, pivot or completely change course. For some of us, we’ve taken action on these impulses and, in doing so, we’ve hesitated, stopped, backtracked or completely stalled out. Progress has been tedious and slow, but at least some progress has been made.

For others, the call to action has been ignored completely in favor of sticking to the comfortable, tried-and-true methods that have worked well for so many years. Well, this New Moon in Scorpio is here to remind us of our deepest, truest desires. It’s here to highlight, once-and-for-all, the need to transform, progress, move forward, and break free from the rules, restrictions and internal hesitations that are holding us back.

This powerful New Moon in Scorpio, in a conjunction with Mars and making a T-Square to Uranus and Saturn fuels the psychic, psychological and emotional fire we need to commit ourselves to making the changes we truly need in our lives over these last few lingering months of the ongoing Saturn-Uranus square. While it’s important no to act out of anger or in haste, action must be taken. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by.

Venus enters Capricorn

Venus will enter Capricorn today where it will remain for FOUR WHOLE MONTHS! Venus is preparing to enter its pre-shadow phase on November 18th for it’s upcoming retrograde which begins on December 19th of this year. Venus retrograde is an event that occurs only once every 18 months and, when it Venus does slow down to station, it tends to be a memorable occurrence for those being impacted most directly!

Venus in retrograde has us re-evaluating our relationships, our self-worth and the things in life that bring us joy. For those being hit more directly by Venus, this could be a time when old relationships come back around to be re-integrated or resolved once-and-for-all. This particular retrograde, in aspect with Pluto and Eris, is likely to reveal underlying issues in relationships that we’ve previously chosen to ignore—requiring our direct attention and transmutation. When it comes to our closest connections, anything toxic must go.

Venus retrograde tends to facilitate poor cooperation and coordination amongst different parties, making it difficult to get everyone on the “same page.” Additionally, new connections that are formed during this time are almost never what they seem. Someone who appears to be a solid ally during the Venus Retrograde could become your worst enemy once the planet of interpersonal connection goes direct (and vise versa).

This Venus Retrograde stirs up underlying financial and material issues that have otherwise been swept under-the-rug. It’s easy to speculate that during this particular Venus retrograde, with its on-and-off conjunctions to Pluto in Capricorn, that we may experience further exacerbation of the global supply chain issues we’ve already been experiencing—ultimately leading to a reevaluation and transformation of our current systems and processes.

Mercury enters Scorpio

Mercury rules the mind and, in Scorpio, our thoughts become deep, broody and intense. This is an excellent energy for laser-focused research of all kinds. With Mercury in Scorpio, surface level conversations feel boring and rather pointless—deep, intimate communication and the discovery of the truth is what we crave more of during this transit.

This particular Mercury transit through Scorpio is a bit different as it will be helping to activate the ongoing Saturn square to Uranus (with some help from the Sun and Mars as well). Those who are harboring important secrets may feel an intense desire to speak up, regardless of how shocking the information might be, only to be met with blockages and censorship.

Others may feel scattered and anxious, like a jolt of electricity is flowing through the mind and body with no clear outlet for release. Frustration over a reality that lacks depth and is misaligned with the truth may cause many to reach their breaking point and change course. While we are entering into our final chance to make adjustments and set things right, be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Full Moon & Partial Lunar Eclipse in Taurus

We have fully, completely, and undeniably entered into Eclipse Season—a time when major transformations happen and fate has a way of stepping in and taking the reins.

This particular eclipse is the VERY FIRST in an 18-month series of eclipses in the fixed signs of Taurus and Scorpio and, as such, the events that unfold and the messages received will serve as a guidepost for what’s to come throughout 2022 and well into 2023.

Because this is a Full Moon Eclipse in which the Lunar Nodes haven’t yet moved into Taurus and Scorpio, this energy is about the culmination of one cycle and the beginning of another. This is the eclipse that bridges the gap between the growth we have already achieved and the brand new path we’re about to embrace.

In a T-Square with Jupiter in Aquarius, the Full Moon Eclipse will fuel high hopes and optimism about future events, especially in the coming year. It's entirely possible that many of us will over-inflate the possibilities and potentials for the future on a mental and emotional level, and maybe even go “all in” prematurely on a fated new opportunity. Even if Jupiter has us getting a bit carried away, the end result of whatever fated turn of events transpires throughout this period are likely to be quite positive.

Neptune makes a very tight trine with the Sun, Mercury and Mars in Scorpio, indicating that it’s also possible to tap into legitimate intuitive and psychic messages around the events that are about to unfold. Between the eclipse season and the Saturn-Uranus square activation, there’s a lot to unpack right now. If ever you’re feeling lost or frazzled during this eclipse period, allow your intuition to guide you.

Sun enters Sagittarius

Happy birthday to all of my Sagittarius friends! The Sun enters into the most jovial, adventurous and optimistic sign of the Zodiac today, plunging us even deeper into the fated realms of the Eclipse Season! The Sun will come into an exact conjunction with the South Node just two ways after entering into the mutable fire sign, bringing a powerful activation of the eclipse energies. Pay attention to what comes up during this FINAL connection between the Sun and South Node—signs, synchronicities, messages and events may come through to assist us in moving on from a path or a cycle that no longer serves us once-and-for-all.

This is a time of endings that are required in order to set the stage to embark on a brand new path, but it is also a time when old talents, connections, and situations may come back around in a way that feels destined and emphasized in importance. Pay close attention to what comes up around this time, our lives may be changed in ways we never thought possible.

Mercury enters Sagittarius

Mercury enters the sign of its detriment today, which might actually be a good thing this time around! While Mercury in Sagittarius will have us pondering the “big picture,” many important details required to achieve our goals are often glossed over or completely left out which can lead to costly mistakes.

That being said, particular Mercury in Sagittarius period holds a fated importance. Mercury will activate the karmic South Node right in the middle of eclipse season in roughly 38 hours after entering this adventure-seeking sign. Wisdom from our past may come back around to assist us in forging a brand new path more aligned with our destiny. Be on the look out for synchronistic messages, ideas that feel strangely important, and anything that feels like deja vu. These experiences take on a greater importance during this time, offering guidance during times of change.

We also have a Mercury Cazimi coming up on November 28th (exact at 9:39pm MST), bringing immense clarity during a time where the energy is preparing to shift quite dramatically. With Mercury at the heart of the Sun, our minds become brighter and our communications become more beneficial.
