Jupiter officially moves into Leo on June 29th, 2026, and it's going to be there for the next full year — right through to July 25th, 2027. I want to give you an accurate and nuanced picture of what we're actually working with, because this time around, something is distinctly different.

This is not the big, bold, over-the-top, recognition-at-all-costs energy that you might be expecting. Yes, Jupiter in Leo expands on everything that Leo does best — generosity, heart-centered authenticity, creative courage, leadership, and the desire to share something meaningful with the world. But we also have the karmic South Node moving into Leo alongside Jupiter, and that changes the flavour of this transit significantly.

This year, Jupiter in Leo is not rewarding the performance. It's rewarding the purpose behind it.

What Jupiter in Leo Actually Brings

Let's start with what's real here, because Jupiter deserves its reputation as the great benefic. This transit does bring genuine luck, genuine opportunity, and a genuine expansion of whatever area of life Leo rules in your chart. Jupiter makes things easier. It reduces friction in the areas it touches. It brings moments of abundance, recognition, and creative breakthrough that can genuinely alter the course of things.

But here's something I want to be honest with you about, because I see it happen every single time a Jupiter transit comes around: people often walk away from Jupiter transits feeling mildly disappointed. Not because Jupiter failed to deliver, but because the expectations going in were so inflated that the actual experience of ease and flow didn't register as the gift it was.

Jupiter doesn't always arrive as a windfall. Sometimes it just makes things work more smoothly. Sometimes it means you get a reprieve from the pressure you've been under in a certain area of life — and that reprieve is the gift, even if it doesn't come with a dramatic announcement. So as we move into this transit, the first question worth sitting with is: where do you most need things to become easier? Where would a lightening of the load actually change things for you? Because that's very often where Jupiter quietly does its best work.

That said, there are windows within this transit where things do get more dramatic. Considerably more dramatic.

The South Node in Leo: Generosity Over Glory

The presence of the South Node in Leo throughout this transit is something I want to spend some real time on, because it fundamentally shapes what this year asks of you.

The South Node, wherever it falls, carries the energy of release, of past karma, of cycles that need to be completed rather than reinforced. It's the place where clinging to the familiar — even when it used to serve you — starts to work against you. Things that are done purely for ego, purely for recognition, purely for the dopamine hit of being seen tend to unravel under South Node influence. Not necessarily dramatically, but in ways that become increasingly hard to ignore.

In Leo, this means the transit is asking a very direct question: Are you sharing your gifts because you genuinely want to contribute something, or because you want the applause? Is what you're putting out there an authentic expression of your heart, or is it a performance designed to feed a need for validation?

There's no judgment in that question. Leo energy is naturally magnetic and naturally craves recognition — that's not a flaw, it's part of what makes Leo so vital and alive. But with the South Node present, this transit isn't going to reward fame for its own sake. It isn't going to sustain a persona that's more about image than substance. What it will do is support you enormously when your expression is genuinely heart-led, generous, and connected to something that serves others as much as it serves you.

This is also about purpose at a very deep level. The South Node connects us to past life karma, to accumulated gifts and talents from previous cycles, to the unfinished business of the soul. What unique gifts have you been sitting on, perhaps not fully claiming or sharing, that actually have their roots somewhere deeper than this lifetime? This transit may very well bring those things to the surface — and with Jupiter there to expand them, there's enormous potential in that.

Saturn's Role: Keeping the Vision Grounded

One of the genuinely helpful energies woven through this entire Jupiter in Leo transit is a trine from Saturn, which makes its first exact connection on August 31st, 2026. It returns again in April 2027 and once more in July 2027.

Now, Saturn is currently in its fall position, which does limit how much structural support it can offer. It's not going to be doing its best, most powerful foundational work during this period. But it's still in trine with Jupiter, and that's meaningfully better than the square these two formed during the last Jupiter in Leo transit between July 2014 and August 2015. That cycle had more friction around building something, more obstacles to expansion and recognition. This one has more support.

What Saturn in trine to Jupiter does is bring things back down to Earth after the peaks of intensity. It grounds your vision. It asks you to take your biggest dreams — particularly the ones that feel fated and deeply meaningful — and find a practical path toward them. It helps you take the energy of inspiration and turn it into something that actually lasts.

So if July brings you an extreme opportunity or an unexpected wave of recognition that feels like too much to process, Saturn will begin to help you find your footing with it in the weeks and months that follow. The first grounding wave comes in late August and early September. Use that window to build a structure around whatever arrived.

Jupiter Opposite Pluto: The Intensity That Kicks Everything Off

Before we can talk about the quieter, more spiritual undercurrents of this transit, we need to talk about how it begins — because it begins with a significant bang.

Jupiter moves into Leo on June 29th, and by July 20th it's already opposing Pluto in Aquarius. This is a once-in-this-cycle event. It only happens in July 2026, and it's a big one.

At the very start of this transit, the South Node hasn't yet arrived in Leo. Which means the ego check isn't fully in place yet. The energy is more material, more externally expressive, more unfiltered in the way that Jupiter in Leo can be when it's not being asked to redirect toward something higher. This is where things can get extreme. This is where an opportunity can arrive that is genuinely overwhelming in its scale — where you asked for something, and what comes back is so much more than you bargained for that you're left scrambling to figure out what to do with it all.

I've watched Jupiter-Pluto oppositions bring extreme reversals of fortune in personal charts more times than I can count. Extreme changes in wealth, in power, in recognition, in the overall direction of someone's life. They tend to be positive shifts, because Jupiter is involved. But the word I keep coming back to is overwhelming. There's a quality of too much, too fast, all at once, and figuring out how to hold it without losing yourself in it.

If you have Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio, or Taurus placements in your chart — particularly in the first ten degrees — you're going to feel this opening chapter of Jupiter in Leo in a very direct and very physical way. Be prepared for something significant. Be prepared to make a real choice about what you're stepping into.

For the signs with early degrees in Aries, Sagittarius, Gemini, or Libra, the opportunity that arrives during this window is going to feel more like a natural opening — something big and exciting that comes with support rather than overwhelm.

And for everyone, I want to say: think back to what was happening in your life between July 16th, 2014 and August 11th, 2015. That was the last Jupiter in Leo transit. Even though the conditions were different, the area of your chart that Jupiter was activating then is the same area being activated now. The themes that were alive for you in that window will have echoes in this one.

November 2026: The South Node Enters the Picture

The first exact conjunction between Jupiter and the South Node occurs on November 11th, 2026, and this is where the energy of the transit starts to shift perceptibly.

Mars is also in Leo at this time, sitting at 23 degrees while Jupiter and the South Node are at 25 degrees — creating a tight, activating configuration. There's a sense of urgency here, a need to take action on something. But the nature of the action matters enormously.

What makes this moment particularly interesting is that the configuration is in trine with Chiron, which has dipped back into Aries for its very last pass. Chiron in Aries has been bringing up a deep, eight-year healing process around self-assertion, identity, and the wounds we carry around who we are and whether we're enough. This trine suggests that whatever action is being called for in November is connected to the completion of that healing. It's not about charging forward from ego. It's about taking the lessons of that long healing arc and doing something meaningful with them.

The South Node will not cooperate with actions taken for the wrong reasons. It simply won't. Whatever is built on a foundation of ego, status-seeking, or spiritual bypassing will feel progressively more hollow and will start to crack around this time. What's built on something genuine — on heart, on service, on the honest expression of your unique gifts — will begin to gain real traction.

This South Node energy in Leo is also going to bring a kind of reckoning to those in positions of public influence. Jupiter in Leo expands the world of celebrity, performance, and public life. But with the South Node present, those who are in those positions for purely self-serving reasons — who exist as figureheads rather than genuine leaders — are going to start feeling the pressure of that. Something may unravel. Something may be exposed. The transit favours authenticity with a fierce consistency.

The Jupiter-South Node conjunction activates through October and November and continues all the way through to around May of 2027, because Jupiter will hit the South Node exact again at the start of March and again in mid-April 2027.

March Through May 2027: The Most Pivotal Window

If there's one window within this entire transit to pay close attention to, it's this one.

Jupiter stations retrograde on December 12th, 2026, and then stations direct on April 12th, 2027. Around that station, it's in an exact trine with Saturn on April 3rd, and it's conjunct the South Node on March 1st and again on April 19th — meaning it stations in a conjunction with the South Node.

Any time a planet stations, it slows down, moves closer to the Earth, becomes brighter and more powerful in its influence. Jupiter stationed in conjunction with the South Node, in trine with Saturn, with Mars in the mix again — this is a concentrated, potent, profoundly significant window within the broader transit.

What I feel very strongly about this period is that it's a moment of reckoning in the most constructive sense of that word. Jupiter has been retrograde, which shifts the energy inward — away from external manifestation and recognition, toward inner expansion, inner wisdom, inner growth. The question during a Jupiter retrograde isn't "what am I getting?" It's "what am I becoming?" And when Jupiter stations direct in this configuration, there's a clarity that emerges from all of that internal work: an understanding of what you're actually here to do and whether what you've been building is truly aligned with that.

For some people, this will be a genuinely powerful clearing — a letting go of something that was seeded in ego rather than purpose, done with clarity and without drama because the understanding is now there. For others, it will be the moment that something seeded in genuine heart and purpose finally starts to gain real momentum and real-world traction, with Saturn there to give it structure and durability.

Either way, this is a pivotal marker. Whatever gets clarified and set in motion between March and May 2027 will carry forward well beyond the end of this Jupiter in Leo transit.

Jupiter makes its third and final trine to Saturn on July 11th, 2027, and then moves into Virgo on July 25th, 2027. The chapter closes there.

Jupiter in Leo for All 12 Signs

A note before we get into this: your rising sign is the most significant indicator of where this transit is playing out in the concrete circumstances of your life. Your Sun sign matters deeply too, because the Sun rules Leo and makes this transit particularly personal to your core identity and sense of purpose. Your Moon sign is also worth listening to — that's where the energy will land most subjectively and internally.

Aries and Aries Rising

For you, Jupiter is moving through your fifth house — the house of joy, creativity, passion, and play. This is about reconnecting with something creative that has always been a core part of who you are, possibly something that goes back further than this lifetime. Something fated and deeply familiar that you've let recede into the background and that now wants to come forward and take its rightful place.

This is also a period with notable significance around children. For those who want to expand their family, this energy combined with Saturn in your first house is a combination I see frequently in charts around pregnancy — something coming in that feels fated and perhaps a little more surprising than expected, but ultimately welcomed. If that's not where you are in life, this transit beautifully expands your connection to the children already in your world, opening up opportunities for their growth and development that carry a real sense of destiny around them.

Taurus and Taurus Rising

Jupiter in Leo activates your fourth house — home, family, roots, ancestors, and property. This is a year where your living situation can transform in a meaningful and potentially life-altering way. For some of you, especially those with a rising sign or IC at the early degrees of Taurus or Leo, a move or major shift in your domestic life could arrive this year with the force of fate — something that reorients your entire life path toward something more aligned with who you truly are.

For everyone else, this is an invitation to deepen your relationship with home on multiple levels. Ancestral healing, past life work, exploring where your roots run deepest — all of this is supported and enriched right now. Practically speaking, this is an excellent year for renovating, redecorating, or expanding your living space. And an opportunity for a home that previously felt out of reach may genuinely find its way to you.

Gemini and Gemini Rising

Jupiter moves through your third house — the house of the mind, communication, daily environment, and the spiritual practices woven into your everyday life. Between Jupiter and the South Node working through this space, there's an invitation to look at the daily rituals that connect you to something greater than yourself and to take them more seriously than you perhaps have before.

Your daily environment becomes a source of unexpected opportunity this year. A conversation at the coffee shop, a connection with a neighbour, a chance encounter in your community — keep your attention on the people immediately around you because something meaningful can arrive through those touchpoints. Your belief system and worldview are also up for a significant expansion, particularly during the Jupiter-Pluto opposition in July, which could bring a shift in how you understand the world that is frankly more than you were expecting. If you've been wanting a new vehicle, or if there's friction in a sibling relationship that needs clearing, this transit offers real openings there too.

Cancer and Cancer Rising

Lucky Cancer — Jupiter is transiting your second house of finances, material resources, and personal value. This is genuinely excellent energy for building and expanding your wealth, with a very clear caveat: the expansion comes when the motivation is right.

Resources that are sought in order to be generous, to create meaningful experiences, to build something that matters — those will expand beautifully under this transit. Resources sought for the sake of showing off or acquiring status symbols are where the South Node will quietly begin to create leakiness. So stay true to what actually matters to you, and this year can bring real financial shifts, including some significant changes in July when Jupiter opposes Pluto. There's also something here around a figure of authority who may have been more of a block than a help until now — this transit has the potential to shift that dynamic.

Leo and Leo Rising

Jupiter is in your first house, which means this entire transit is deeply, personally yours. You are, in many ways, the canvas on which this whole picture is being painted. Opportunities come to you directly, based largely on what you've put into the world in past cycles — karmic returns showing up as recognition, as new doors opening, as a sense that things are finally moving in your favour.

But I want to be honest with you about the nuance here, because the South Node in your first house is asking something significant of you throughout this year. Anything done for recognition alone — for drama, for the performance of being seen — is not going to sustain itself under this transit. The ego is going to be asked to take a back seat more than once, and the moments where that happens most clearly are going to be the most important invitations to course-correct.

Especially at the start, in July, when Jupiter opposes Pluto, there may be an intensity in your close relationships or in how you're putting yourself out into the world that reveals where expectation has gotten ahead of reality. That's useful information, not a setback. The rest of this transit, when you align what you're expressing with what you genuinely believe and who you genuinely are, comes with real protection, real recognition, and a kind of success that actually means something.

Virgo and Virgo Rising

For you, Jupiter moves through your twelfth house — the house of the hidden, the transcendent, rest, and all that exists just beneath the surface of ordinary waking life. This is not the most externally visible Jupiter transit you'll ever experience, but it may well be one of the most internally significant.

This is a year for deep spiritual expansion, past life exploration, and genuine transcendent experience. Dream journalling is genuinely worth your time right now — the messages that come through during sleep are going to be more potent and more practically applicable than usual. This is also an excellent window to give yourself permission to rest, to retreat, to step away from the ordinary for stretches of time in order to make space for something deeper to come through.

If you work in healthcare, rehabilitation, or institutions of any kind, there's positive energy available there this year. If you've been navigating chronic health challenges, this transit can ease that burden meaningfully. And for past karma that has been coming back around in cycles — patterns that keep repeating in ways that trip you up — this is a genuinely powerful time to clear them.

Libra and Libra Rising

Jupiter in Leo is in its joy in your eleventh house, and that matters. Jupiter genuinely thrives in the eleventh house — it loves to create opportunity through connection, through networks, through the people who show up in your life bearing gifts in the form of their own knowledge, resources, and generosity.

This is a year to put yourself out there socially, consistently and with openness. Opportunities are going to arrive through people — sometimes through people you've just met, who nonetheless carry that unmistakable sense of familiarity, of fate. Those are the connections worth paying the most attention to. This is also a year to be the connector, to share your own gifts through groups and communities and friend circles, because the expansion here isn't just about what comes to you — it's about what flows through you to others. The connections that are built most thoughtfully and generously during this year have the potential to grow into something stable and long-lasting, particularly as we move into spring 2027.

Scorpio and Scorpio Rising

Jupiter is expanding your tenth house — career, vocation, public reputation, and legacy. This is a powerful year to become known for something, and the transit will support you significantly in that. But as with everything in this transit, the how matters.

Recognition that comes from genuinely sharing your gifts, from work that is authentically yours and that genuinely serves others — that is going to thrive under this energy. The desire to be known just for the sake of being known, the ambition that exists to feed the ego rather than to make a real mark, that's going to run into the South Node sooner or later and find its returns diminished. For Scorpio risings with a midheaven in the early degrees of Leo especially, July's Jupiter-Pluto opposition could bring a sudden surge of recognition or a significant shift in your career trajectory that is exciting and a little destabilizing all at once. Let the South Node do its humbling work gently after that, and what you build on the other side of it will be solid.

Sagittarius and Sagittarius Rising

This Jupiter transit activates your ninth house — your natural home territory, and a deeply comfortable place for this kind of expansive energy to land. This is the house of philosophy, ideology, belief, adventure, and the pursuit of wisdom in its broadest forms.

Travel comes alive for you this year in a meaningful way. Not just any travel, but the kind where something pulls you toward a place in a way that feels distinctly familiar — somewhere that feels like home even before you've arrived, or somewhere that held significant meaning for you once before. Follow that pull. And in the realm of belief, this is a year where a teacher, a mentor, or a higher educational opportunity may arrive that changes your entire perspective on something you thought you had figured out. If your pursuit of knowledge is genuinely oriented toward becoming more, so that you can offer more — to the world, to the people around you — this transit will support that powerfully.

Capricorn and Capricorn Rising

Jupiter transits your eighth house this year, and while the eighth house carries depth and intensity, it also carries significant power when Jupiter passes through it. On the most material level, this is one of the better transits for shifts involving joint finances, other people's money, investments, loans, and shared resources. If you've been waiting on a financial breakthrough that involves a partner, an investor, or an institution — this year creates real openings.

This is also where your inner world is asking to be taken seriously. Past wounds, early experiences that left you feeling vulnerable or fearful, patterns that trace back to childhood or family of origin — there is real potential for healing here, particularly if you're willing to seek help and humble yourself enough to do that inner work with support. And for those drawn to the deeper, more esoteric dimensions of knowledge — astrology, magic, the occult sciences — this is a genuinely rich and productive time to go deeper, provided you're approaching it with purpose rather than ego.

Aquarius and Aquarius Rising

Jupiter moves through your seventh house, activating the area of your chart that governs partnerships, close one-to-one relationships, and significant others. Now, I want to offer a gentle reframe here, because the seventh house Jupiter transit often generates the expectation that everything in your relationship is going to become magically better. And while it can certainly make things easier in partnership, what's more accurate is that the seventh house represents your partner — and so this energy often shows up as your partner having a particularly fortunate or expansive year, with the benefits of that flowing back to you indirectly.

If you're not currently partnered, the next year — and particularly the window from later this year through spring 2027 — is genuinely significant for a fated new connection arriving. Not just any connection, but one that carries that sense of deep familiarity, of having known this person before, of something karmically meaningful being recognized and claimed. Whether that shows up as a romantic partner or a significant close friendship, it's worth staying open to.

Pisces and Pisces Rising

For you, Jupiter moves through the sixth house — health, daily work, routines, service, and animals. It's not the most dramatically visible house for a Jupiter transit, but the gifts it offers are real and genuinely useful, particularly around health and wellbeing.

If you've been carrying chronic issues or a persistent sense that your body is working against you, this transit brings meaningful ease to that struggle. And for those who are intentional about using this window, the potential to build lasting healthy habits — particularly around movement and physical activity — is genuinely excellent. Leo energy in the sixth house calls for movement that feels like play: dance, sport, anything that gets the body engaged in a way that's joyful rather than dutiful. That's your sweet spot right now.

Daily work also becomes lighter and more rewarding. If you have a team or are looking to build one, this is an excellent year to expand it. And if your heart has been calling you toward adding a new animal to your life, the sixth house as the house of animals in a Jupiter year is a beautiful sign that the timing is right — something may find its way to you that feels entirely fated.

The Invitation of Jupiter in Leo

This transit, in its entirety, is asking all of us a version of the same question: What are you sharing with the world, and why?

Not the performative version of that question. Not the version driven by a need to be seen or validated or recognized for recognition's sake. The deeper version — the one that asks what your heart genuinely has to offer, what your unique gifts and accumulated wisdom are actually for, and what it would look like to share those things generously and without the need to control how they're received.

Jupiter in Leo with the South Node is not a transit for personal glory. It's a transit for purposeful expression. And the beautiful irony is that when you get that right — when your expression is genuinely authentic and generous and soul-led — the recognition tends to follow naturally.

That's really what this year is about.
